Hierdoor is de administratieve last sterk verminderd.

Persbericht BioMCN

BioMCN acquired not one, but two ISO certificates at once: 9001 and 14001. ISO 9001 provides a set of requirements for quality management systems; ISO 14001 focuses on the environment and gives the provisions for organizations wishing to operate in a sustainable manner. Obtaining the 14001 certificate was an obligation stated in the environmental license, but BioMCN met that requirement long before the deadline. “An achievement to be proud of”, says QHSE manager Jan de Graaf, “especially given the dynamic year BioMCN has had so far and its relatively short existence”.

“ISO standards and methods have noticeably evolved towards the process approach over the years”, says De Graaf. “The focus lies more on documents, procedures and actually following up actions than ever. We have come a long way, but will continue to refine and enforce the plan-do-check-act cycles already in place”. De Graaf encountered several challenges, such as merging the various existing systems and keeping progress on schedule. “It’s not always easy to find the time for such an intensive trajectory whilst people are, understandably, primarily focussed on the more ‘tangible’ production side of things. However, everybody understood the necessity of an ISO certification and especially the 14001 standard was felt as significant given our commitment to sustainability”.
